Considering that 1 in 36 African American babies die before their first birthday, home visiting programs are making a huge difference. We partnered with Nurse Family Partnership to show how home visits from nurses, like DJ, dramatically improve circumstances for new and expectant moms. We traveled with DJ as she follows up with new mother, April in East Chicago, Indiana.
The Nurse-Family Partnership is a nonprofit we support for their amazing work helping struggling first-time parents succeed by sending a nurse to their home for weekly check-ins. Nurses support new moms by giving them
